Paleto Bay: 9 People Died, Including a State Trooper and a Sheriff's Deputy, Multiple Officers Injured

05.11.2024 | 15:43 AM | BLAINE COUNTY - While working on the highway, an unknown truck driver rammed a sheriff's deputy's vehicle, who died as a result of the crash. Police officers initiated a pursuit for the tanker vehicle. During the pursuit, the tanker vehicle rammed a State Police vehicle. The crash instantly killed the officer standing next to the vehicle. The fire from the crash caused a subsequent explosion that concussed many people around, including police officers. The explosion of a fuel tanker caused the death of many civilians around, including a member of the press. The San Andreas Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
